The Matrangela (or Pupa cu l'Ali) is the angel mother of the house and summarizes the characteristics of the maternal feminine principle widely spread in all cultures. Her white coat is enriched by a fine embroidery that makes her unique and original. She also functions as a candle holder thanks to the support placed behind.
In the pagan world her myth is linked to the succession of the seasons and the rites of the earth. In the Christian tradition she is a mother in the full sense of the human and, at the same time, a participant in the divine. She has a central place in the house that she protects, blesses and defends. She puts everyday problems into perspective and is a consoling witness to the small pains and great fears of life.
